How it fits NetSuite

Every sale saves straight to NetSuite.

  1. Every ticket is a native transaction.Cash sales, sales orders, estimates, customer deposits, item fulfillments, invoices, customer payments and transfer orders, written as the ticket is saved.
  2. Deposits apply themselves. When prepaid material is ticketed, the deposit is applied to the order for you, so the counter never has to remember.
  3. Plays well in a shared account.Settings scope the register to its own data, so it runs alongside your other NetSuite customizations without stepping on them.

FAQ

Questions about Snapshot POS

Don't see yours? Ask our NetSuite team and someone will get back to you.

What is Snapshot POS?

Snapshot POS is a point-of-sale register that runs inside NetSuite, built by Snapshot Design for building materials, landscape and supply-yard retailers with walk-in, will-call and delivery sales. Every ticket saves as a native NetSuite cash sale or sales order, so there is no separate register database to sync or reconcile.

Can Snapshot POS sell by the ton, yard or bag?

Snapshot POS sells items by the each, the ton or the yard, with customer-specific prices that fall back to a base price when none is set, and gross and tare weights recorded on the ticket line.

How does Snapshot POS handle deposits and pickups?

A prepaid order takes a customer deposit, and Snapshot POS applies the deposit automatically when the material is ticketed. Customers can pick up against an open order load by load, with each pickup ticketed against that order.

Does Snapshot POS handle deliveries?

Snapshot POS schedules delivery orders and store-to-store transfers by date, delivery window and status, with a dispatch view across stores by driver and truck that lists unassigned loads first.

What NetSuite records does Snapshot POS create?

Snapshot POS writes cash sales, sales orders, estimates, customer deposits, item fulfillments, invoices, customer payments and transfer orders as each ticket is saved. Tickets print as three-copy letter tickets from a NetSuite PDF template and can be reprinted at any time.

How does Snapshot POS control who sees which screens?

Each person signs in with their own PIN, and their role decides which screens they see, enforced on the server. Settings scope the register to its own data, so it runs alongside other NetSuite customizations in the same account.

Does Snapshot POS track the cash drawer?

Cashiers open and close the register with opening cash and drawer counts, and Snapshot POS compares expected and counted totals. A sales dashboard reports by product, day, store or customer.
